Alison Buckley (858) 534-4464
Alison is a Senior Environmental Planner and assists with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) compliance for all campus capital improvement projects. She is also responsible for the preparation of Environmental Impact Classification (EIC) forms and assists with implementation of the Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program (MMRP). Alison also has a passion for working with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and managing databases. Prior to coming to UCSD, she worked at the City of San Diego as an Environmental Planner. Alison received her Bachelors Degree in Environmental Studies and Geography at the University of Colorado at Boulder.Alison has worked at UCSD since 2006.
Robert Clossin, AICP (858) 534-4589
Robert is the Director of Physical and Community Planning which is responsible for the creation and implementation of campus plans, with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), and external relations with outside planning agencies. Prior to coming to UC San Diego in 1997, he worked for a consulting planning and landscape architecture firm in the private sector, which focused primarily on military planning projects for the Federal Government. Robert has a Bachelors Degree in Urban Studies and Planning from UC San Diego, a Masters of City Planning degree from San Diego State University, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP).
Anu Delouri (858) 822-0150
Anu is the Assistant Director for Communications and Community Planning. Anu works on community planning matters involving land use, campus planning, housing, transportation, and community relations. She acts as a liaison with the local community groups, local electeds, California Coastal Commission, City of San Diego and other external agencies in regard to implementation of UC San Diego projects. Anu's previous experience involves working with Physical and Environmental Planning at UC Berkeley where she was involved in a wide range of planning projects, prior to which she worked at the Pratt Institute Center for Community and Environmental Development (PICCED). Anu has a Bachelors Degree in Architecture and a Masters Degree in City and Regional Planning from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, New York.
Raeanon Hartigan, AICP (858) 822-5199
Raeanon is a Principal Planner with the Physical and Community Planning office. She works on a variety of projects, focusing primarily on those at Scripps Institution of Oceanography (SIO), Thurgood Marshall College, Revelle College, the University Center, and East Campus. Raeanon also works on the campus' many Regional Transportation Projects and serves as Executive to the Marine Sciences Physical Planning Committee (MSPPC). Prior to coming to UC San Diego, she worked as a planner for a local architecture firm. Raeanon received her undergraduate and graduate degree in International Affairs from Florida State University and her Masters of Urban and Regional Planning from Cal Poly Pomona. She was elected to the Ocean Beach Planning Board in 2012 and recently completed her term. Raeanon is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP).
Lauren Kahal (858) 246-2914
Lauren is a Senior Environmental Planner and assists campus projects and planning efforts with CEQA compliance. Lauren is providing support to the Assistant Director of Environmental Planning as an Assistant Project Manager for the 2018 LRDP EIR. Prior to joining the Physical and Community Planning team, she worked in the private sector preparing CEQA and NEPA documentation and coordinating mitigation monitoring and reporting programs for a variety of projects in San Diego County and throughout California. She holds a B.S. in Environmental Management and Protection from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and an M.S. in Environmental Management from the University of San Francisco.

Alex is the University CAD Manager. Alex is responsible for the review of project CAD drawings to ensure compliance with campus CAD standards and the periodic update of all buildings floor plans and campus maps. Prior to coming to UC San Diego he worked for several local architectural firms. Alex has an architectural degree from the University of Madrid, Spain and has been working as the CAD manager at UC San Diego since 2004.

Ruby is the office Administrative Specialist. She helps with general office communications, coordinations, and scheduling.
Todd Pitman (858) 822-3791
Todd is the Assistant Director and the Campus Landscape Architect. He has been the project planner for several large campus developments from lab buildings to housing and several alternative transportation projects. He served as the lead planner for the Marshall & Sixth College Neighborhood Planning Study, Muir College Historic Resources Inventory and Preservation Plan, Bike and Pedestrian Master Plan and Open Space Planning Study. Additionally, he is central to campus efforts focused on the advocacy, design, planning, and successful implementation of campus public realm projects. He serves as Executive to the Open Space Committee and leads the planning of bicycle and pedestrian circulation features, campus wayfinding and signage, as well as, sustainable and climate appropriate landscape design. Todd received his Bachelors Degree in Environmental Horticulture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and is a registered landscape architect in California and Oregon. td>
Catherine Presmyk (858) 534-3860
Cathy is the Assistant Director of Environmental Planning and has worked in the environmental planning/CEQA compliance field for more than 25 years in both private and public sectors. She is an expert in the management, coordination, preparation and implementation of environmental analyses, permitting, and mitigation programs in accordance with state and federal law. Cathy is the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Compliance officer for all of UC San Diego's properties in the county. Cathy has specialized knowledge and professional expertise in environmental planning and legal compliance, which allowed her to successfully manage the challenges of a very robust regulatory compliance program for UC San Diego's unprecedented growth over the past ten years, resulting in 3.5 billion dollars in new construction and adding more than 4 million square feet of space to the campus footprint. She is also responsible for implementation of the campus' Habitat Management Program. Cathy holds a BA in Geography and Environmental Studies from Northeastern Illinois University, and an MS in Forestry (Ecology and Resource Management emphasis) from Southern Illinois University.
Elyse Sanchez (858) 534-1328
Elyse is an Associate Planner with the Physical and Community Planning office. She contributes to the development and review of the Regional Transportation Projects as well as several new Health Sciences buildings, with particular emphasis on safe and intuitive circulation and connectivity. She is also the recording secretary for the Campus/Community Planning Committee (CCP/C). Elyse began her career in Health Sciences' Space Management where she coordinated laboratory renovations and supported planning and documentation. With Health Sciences Planning, she developed healthcare intelligence and conducted spatial analyses to support strategic growth and improve the patient experience. Elyse has contributed to multiple planning studies for UC San Diego's Hillcrest and La Jolla campuses, and she is the Project Manager for the Hillcrest Master Planning Study. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies and Planning from UC San Diego and completed her Certificate in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) at UC San Diego Extension.

Ginger is an Associate Planner within the Physical and Community Planning office. She works on a variety of projects including data collection and analysis for the 2018 Long Range Development Plan (LRDP) Update and associated Environmental Impact Report (EIR); applies skills and knowledge in AutoCAD and ArcGIS to create maps, diagrams, and site plans; and develops administrative site approvals for campus projects. Ginger also acts as the recording secretary for the Marine Sciences Physical Planning Committee (MSPPC) and the Open Space Committee. Ginger earned her Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies and Planning from UC San Diego.
